One hateful designer wanting work
Last night I was busy plodding away at my midnight work and I receive an email from a freelancer called Guy asking for work. However I get about 40 emails a week from people asking for work or experience. As I cannot offer any jobs yet I’d like to help the designer by showing pointers to improve their image. This email was very strange as it went on and on and Guy was clearly more focused on hate than actual making a career.

I usually have a font that I like to use for a few projects, before I move onto another corporate font. My choice for September is Helvetica Neue. Its like Arial / Helvetica but with a funky feel to it. Its the font of choice for the iPhone applications (on which I discovered the font in designing apps). Even this site uses Helvetica Neue, but if you don’t have it installed by default (i.e. Windows) as its preinstalled on Apple osX 10.5+. If your lucky enough to have the font use it. It rocks.
